Wake Up and STOP Testing the Lord thy God!
This message is for you, “Christians” that rely on God’s grace to continue in a Lifestyle of sin!
People tend to think that the scriptures need to be interpreted, so they do so according to their needs in order to make it fit to a lifestyle of sin. LISTEN, it is very simple you are saved by grace consecrated to do good works. So STOP living sinful life relying on the “grace” of God to forgive you. He knows you are… testing him! Deut 6:16 “You shall not put the LORD your God to the test, as you tested Him at Massah.” Luke 4:12 And Jesus answered and said to him, “It is said, ‘YOU SHALL NOT PUT THE LORD YOUR GOD TO THE TEST.” He won’t be taken for a fool.
For those who claim that the Law is done away with, so they don’t have to obey any of it. The Law can not save someone, the blood of Jesus does!!! But Jesus clearly said. John 14:15 “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.” We obey and follow his teachings because we love him, not because we rely on the Law for salvation. People THIS IS NOT HARD to understand! You were saved by the blood of the Lamb, he deserves ALL … your life, your devotion, your praise and a Holy Life! “Be Holy as I am Holy”. 1 Peter 1 :16. If it was not possible and not commanded he wouldn’t have said it. God does not command feelings on humans he commands choices! Be Holy is a choice, LOVE thy God…love is a choice not a feeling!!! Love also demands to be shown, not only to be said. Wake UP and STOP testing God before you get to see the wrath of the Almighty!
Many Christians say it is not my place to judge so and so…John 7:24 “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.” Satan uses intimidation and the fear of having our past thrown back at us to keep us from judging. So often in the Scriptures Yahshua gives us examples of how various principles apply in daily living, and this matter is no different. Matthew records the words of Yahshua thus:
(Mat 7:3-5 NRSV) “Why do you see the speck in your neighbor’s eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye? {4} Or how can you say to your neighbor, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ while the log is in your own eye? {5} You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your neighbor’s eye.”
In essence, Yahshua is saying, “check yourself before you check someone else.” Once we have checked ourselves for any sinfulness and remove the obstacles of sin out of our own lives, then we can help others to see the bondage they are in and help them remove the same obstacles from their lives! This verse is not speaking of not judging at all.
“For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Do you not judge those who are inside? But Yahweh judges those who are outside…” (1 Cor. 5:12-13). It is not unbelievers we are to judge, except to determine what fruit they bear. The ones we are to judge are Believers. Another passage supports this premise:
But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother or sister who is sexually immoral or greedy, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or robber. Do not even eat with such a one.(1 Cor. 5:11).
If we apply the plank-and-splinter or speck-and-log principle, we will examine ourselves first in any of these trespasses before we judge any brother or sister. Remember the words of Yahshua, “…with what measure you use, it shall be measured to you again.” (Mat. 7:2). The Master even tells us how to approach someone who trespasses against us on a personal level:“And if your brother sins against you, go and reprove him, between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother. But if he does not hear, take with you one or two more, anat ‘by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word might be established.’ And if he refuses to hear them, say it to the Assembly. And if the offender refuses to hear the Assembly, let him be to you as a gentile and a tax collector.”(Mat. 18:15-17).
These are things we are not to judge each other on.
Paul named them in his letter to the Colossians:
“Let no one therefore judge you in eating or in drinking, or in respect of a festival or a new moon or Sabbaths – which are shadows of what is to come – but the body of the Messiah.” (Col. 2:16-17).
It is the Body of the Messiah, the Assembly, that gives rulings on all these matters. Paul alludes to these matters in his first letter to the Believers in Corinth when He wrote, “So do not judge any at all before the time, until the Master comes, who shall bring to light what is hidden in darkness and reveal the thoughts of the hearts. And then each one’s praise shall come from Yahweh.” (1 Cor. 4:5).
The motives behind why some Believers are Torah-observant should not be judged. Only Yahweh knows why He directs certain people to observe the dietary laws, keep the true Sabbath, observe the Appointed times of Leviticus 23, etc. The reason for this shall be revealed at the appointed time when the Messiah returns. In the meantime, let us accept one another in these matters and trust that Yahweh is in complete control. In other matters defined in the Scriptures, let us NOT allow fear and intimidation to keep us from judging those things that we should. If we all work together to shed light in the darkness, the devil loses ground, loses souls to the Messiah, and cannot condemn the brethren for their trespasses.
How dare people say well we can’t judge catholicism, or mormonism, or Jehovah Witnesses…etc. Without sound and righteous judgment there is NO SOUND DOCTRINE. So sound judgment needs to be exercised in order for us to discern right from wrong. My GOD is not a hippie God! My God is a HOLY God! If you think God is ALL about grace and permissive to whatever you wish to do with your life, you will be very surprised when he leaves you behind! You are not His if you don’t even know His character! I’m sick and tired of “Christians” blaspheming a HOLY God! How dare you!!!!
In the Bible, Acts 17:11b states the believers of Berea, “… received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so”.
The “whether those things were so” is the process of discernment. Discernment is perceiving the difference between two things; biblical truth and error. The Bible commands believers to discern differences between what they are taught, via a preacher, teacher, a ministry or an author, to the scriptures.
Then we are commanded by ”the Lord Jesus Christ to “judge righteous judgment” John 7:24. He told a man, “Thou hast rightly judged” Luke 7:43. To others, our Lord asked, “Why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?” Luke 12:57. The Apostle Paul wrote, “I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say” 1 Corin 10:15. Again, Paul declared, “He that is spiritual judgeth all things” 1 Corin 2:15. It is our positive duty to judge.”1
Through proper biblical judgment, God protects believers from false teachings since Satan has three goals in leading people to:
DOUBT God’s Word… ”Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?” Gen 3:1
DENY God’s Word… ”Ye shall not surely die:” Gen 3:4
DEIFY Man… ”Ye shall be as gods,” Gen 3:5
Satan is using the same lies, as he used with Eve, to deceive people today; unbelievers and believers alike.
We are to “prove all things” 1 Thes 5:21. When there are differences, we are to reprove, rebuke and exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine, 2 Timothy 4:2 in order to share truth to be heeded bringing about repentance and restoration.
Our loving God commands believers to expose error in order to protect the flock. Doctrine is clearly laid out in the scriptures and every contrary doctrine is to be exposed. The apostle Paul wrote to the preacher Timothy warning about compromises and false teachers by name 10 different times in 1 Tim. 1:20; 2 Tim. 1:15; 2:17; 3:8; 4:12, 14.The Bible states we are to take heed as to how we build upon the foundation of Jesus Christ. Only the works done according to the Word of God will abide or last, 1 Corinthians 3:8-20 while all else will be burned up.
To avoid losing rewards at the judgment seat of Christ, believers are not to pick and choose which commands and principles to obey based on our own personal preference as we grow in grace. God is specific regarding the ways we are to worship (Romans 12:1 “Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.”), serve and share His gospel, despite what people within popular ministries may be saying and doing. Will all of God’s preserved Words be your final authority or what people say? May we not be like Paul who stated he obeyed the voice of the Lord yet finally admitted he transgressed the commandment of the Lord and His words because he feared the people choosing to obey their voice. 1 Samuel 15:22-25. May we believe and obey all of the scriptures so we may do His will and not our own.
This scripture sums it up!
Matt 7:20 “So then, you will know them by their fruits.”
